Our client was a developer looking to regenerate a part of this well known conservation area in the heart of Walthamstow that had fallen into disrepair. The proposal was to sensitively restore the old and insert sympathetic contemporary design where possible.

The viability of the scheme for this developer relied on obtaining planning for 3 residential units in the rear. In the end, the density of 3 units was too great.

Our work did set the theme and parameters for a subsequent scheme, which is now being developed out.
